Fall is upon us and we are ready for it! We took the hour drive to Sweet Berry Farm on Sunday and had a fun time picking flowers, feeding the goats, going on a hayride and choosing pumpkins. We got rained on a bit, and the muddy conditions meant the little train wasn't running, so we may be back before the season is over!
Arriving
So many pumpkins!
JJ was a little ball of energy the whole time
Cool hanging gourd thingies
Passing through the tunnel to get to the other side of the farm.
The tunnel was one of the highlights for JJ.
Big field of pick-your-own zinnias
JJ was pretty bummed that the barrel train was down

JJ and Wesley visited the pediatrician today for their 2 1/2 year and 6-month doctor appointments. With their birthdays just 3 days apart, I think we'll be doing a lot of these joint appointments in the coming years! They both behaved well and were given clean bills of health. Our homework is to get Wesley sleeping through the night.
Here are the numbers:
Here are some photos from our long weekend in Durham, NC! This was Wesley's first plane trip and JJ's first time having his own seat on the airplane. They were both pretty good travelers. For JJ, the iPad (loaded with episodes of Blue's Clues and The Backyardigans) was a big help, and Wesley just needed some ice chips and snuggling and he was mostly content.

JJ had fun rolling down a hill at Duke Gardens.

JJ experiences Cosmic Cantina for the first time. He ate some of his quesadilla but had nowhere near the appropriate level of enthusiasm for this legendary food.
This weekend taught us that Wesley is very intrigued by facial hair.

Wool E. World! JJ's favorite part of the baseball game (rivaling the cotton candy sample Jen gave him)
A walk through the Duke campus was a nice ending to our visit. JJ loved running through all the archways (or, as he called them, tunnels). And we hit the Duke bookstore and got each of the boys a piece of Duke apparel.
